Aegean Speed Lines Overview
Aegean Speed Lines offer a fast, reliable and value for money daily ferry service from the port of Piraeus in mainland Greece to the islands of Serifos, Kimolos, Sifnos, Milos and Folegandros which are a part of the Greek Cyclades.
The Speedrunner 1 vessel originally began operations in the UK, initially on the Portsmouth to Cherbourg ferry route which was then transferred to the Dover to Calais/Boulogne ferry route and later between Folkestone and Boulogne. In 2004 the vessel was chartered to Emeraude Lines until 2005 when Emeruade lines ceased operations and Aegean Speed Lines chartered the vessel for its new Piraeus - Cyclades ferry crossing.
Routes
With Aegean Lines, you can travel to various Cyclades islands from Greek mainland ferry port Piraeus. Some of the Cycladic ports Aegean Speed lines operate their fast crafts to are Folegandros, Ios, Kimolos, Milos, Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, Serifos, Thira (Santorini), Sifnos, Syros and Tinos.
Onboard Facilities
Aegean Speed Lines operates 3 ferries, Speedrunner 2, Speedrunner 3 and Speedrunner 4, each staffed by a highly trained crew and equipped with the finest navigational systems as well as with the most modern safety equipment. The ferries' security systems are double-checked by specialized technicians every time when passengers embark or disembark the ship.
Aegean Speed Lines offer both Exclusive and Economy Class seating. Each journey has 50 Exclusive Class seats available with full hostess service. A choice of coffee and snack bars are available to all where you may also purchase travelling goods, souvenirs and toys.
Other onboard facilities include air conditioned lounge areas, televisions, smoking areas, outside seating areas, disabled access throughout the ship and wireless internet connection (through pay cards). |
