About Jersey
Jersey is the largest of all the Channel Islands at nine miles by five. Like the other Channel Islands, Jersey is far closer to Normandy (France), than it is to England. The Channel Islands are officially British although in many respects they have their own sovereignty.

The best place to see authentic Jersey culture is in the St. Helier's indoor market, which when open, is crammed with a variety of flowers, fruit and vegetable stalls, which are surrounded by craft and gift shops. And with VAT not existing in Jersey, you can relax and enjoy yourself for even less.
Jersey is a fantastic location for a biking or rambling holiday, as many of jersey's roads have been deemed `green lanes', which has restricted their speed limits to 15mph. This also means that visitors have more chance to take in Jersey's scenery, in a more relaxing way.
Getting There
You can find the ferry port in St Helier at the Elizabeth Dock on Albert Pier. The main roads A1, A2, A3 and A4 all lead to St Helier. From these roads, just follow the signs for the ferry port.
