About Kiel
Located on Germany's northern coast by the Baltic Sea, Kiel is the capital of the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. Kiel is one of Germany's most important maritime centres, with many sailing events held here including Kiel Week, the largest sailing event in the world. The port is one of the traditional bases of the German Navy and also the starting point of the Kiel canal, the largest artificial waterway in the world.

Getting There
By Car
Head for the OSTUFERHAFEN terminal via highway A7 / A 215 Hamburg - Kiel, at the end of the highway turn right and follow the signs to OSTUFER/OSTUFERHAFEN ferry terminal.
By Rail
From the main railway station in Kiel take bus no. 11 or 12 going to Dietrichsdorf and get off at the "Grenzstrasse" bus stop. You can then take a taxi to the OSTUFERHAFEN ferry port.
