About Kythnos
Kythnos is beautiful Greek Island in the Western Cyclades with an area of about 100 square kilometres approximately. The landscape of Kythnos is very rocky and because of this although there are about 70 beaches in Kythnos, most of them are inaccessible. The island of Kythnos is also famous for healing waters from the ancient times, so people from neighbouring lands came flocking to the island. Most of the island's villages are scattered with exquisite medieval architecture well worth exploring like the Church of Trinity in the island's capital Chora.
Kythnos is not for those who want to enjoy an exciting night life with only about a couple of bars on the island but is for those who would enjoy a friendly laid back atmosphere. You can find little taverns all over the island serving local delicacies such as Kopanisti cheese etc.
Apart from relaxing on the white sandy beaches in Kythnos, you can take a walk along the winding streets of the little villages on the island buying souvenirs like beautiful hand painted textiles, wooden objects and ceramics or even enjoy snorkelling or a massage on the beach.
Book your Kythnos ferry crossings simply and securely online with instant email confirmation on AFerry.com.
