NorseMerchant Ferries operated direct services on the Irish Sea between the cities of Liverpool and Belfast or Dublin using modern comfortable ferries.
NorseMerchant Ferries has been taken over by Norfolkline, and the same routes from Liverpool Birkenhead to Dublin and Belfast are now run by Norflkline Irish Sea Ferries Services.
NorseMerchant Ferries was owned by the Norse Merchant Group Limited. In 1999 Belfast Freight Ferries were integrated into Merchant Ferries plc and Norse Irish Ferries Ltd was acquired. In 2001 Merchant Ferries plc and Norse Irish ferries commenced trading as Norse Merchant Ferries.
