About Ostend
Ostend is situated in Flanders, the Dutch speaking area of Belgium. Throughout the summer season, Ostend's five beaches are crowded with sun-bathers and swimmers. Transeuropa Ferries operates eight daily crossings between Ostend and Ramsgate in England. Transeuropa Ferries are the only passenger ferry operator in both Ostend and Ramsgate. Their ferries offer transport for cars, caravans, mobile homes, motorcycles and cargo vehicles. Coaches and foot passengers are not accepted.
LD Lines also offer crossings between Ostend and Ramsgate on a daily basis with upto 2 crossings per day and an average crossing time of 4 hours.

Getting There
By Car
The Ostend ferry terminal is directly linked to the A10/E40 motorway; its only 200 metres from the Transeuropa ferry terminal to the motorway.
By Rail
There is a conveniently located railway station right by the ferry terminal, as well as a taxi rank. The railway station has a high-speed `Thalys' rail connection with France, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, and as result Ostend is only one and a half hours from Paris and two hours from Amsterdam.
