Please note: P&O Ferries have ceased operating the route between Portsmouth and Bilbao from October 2010, however the route is now available with Brittany Ferries. Please visit the Brittany Ferries' page for further information and to make a booking.
P&O Ferries run a cruise-ferry service between the ferry port of Portsmouth on the south coast of England to the Spanish ferry port of Bilbao with the luxury ferry service The Pride Of Bilbao.
Bilbao is the perfect starting point for exploring Spain, Southern France and Portugal as you avoid a long drive through France; Madrid is 3 hours drive away, the Pyrenees are within reach, and Bilbao has some of the best surfing in Europe. Portsmouth has excellent motorway connections, giving good access to the whole of the UK.
The P&O Ferries The Pride Of Bilbao operates the Bilbao to Portsmouth route, and offers one of the most luxurious ferry crossing experiences available.
Onboard there is a great choice of 3 restaurants; a carvery, international food court and the first-class a la carte Langan's Brasserie, all serving delicious hot food, or you can get a snack from one of the coffee shops. There are kid's play areas, and quiet sports to show them videos, and video games for older children. There's the opportunity to spot whales and dolphins as the ship travels through the Bay of Biscay, and you can pamper yourself in the health spa, beauty salon and hairdressers.
At night you can watch a West End-style show at the Show Bar, which follows with a disco going on till late at night, and bingo and quizzes during the day. Or you could have a flutter at the casino, catch one of the latest films at the cinemas, or relax at the Posh Bar, which has a resident pianist/vocalist to serenade your evening away.
