SNCM (Société Nationale Maritime Corse Méditerranée) has provided the public maritime service to and from Corsica since 1976, and is a major ferry operator in passenger, vehicle and freight transportation in the Western Mediterranean, providing regular year-round ferry services between France and Corsica, Sardinia, Tunisia and Algeria.
SNCM operate more than 3,500 ferry crossings annually with a full range of services from Marseille and Nice to the Corsican ports of Bastia, Calvi, Ile Rousse, Ajaccio, Porto Vecchio and Propriano.
SNCM has continued its development of ferry services to North Africa with regular crossings to Tunisia (Tunis) from the French ferry ports Marseille and Toulon with the new cruise ferry Danielle Casanova and to Algeria (Oran) from Marseille.

The SNCM fleet consist of 10 vessels (5 cruise ferries, 4 passenger and cargo ships and 1 high speed craft) all sailing under the French flag. The cargo and passenger ships operate a ferry crossing between the ferry ports of Corsica and Marseille all year round, and have a smaller capacity with a friendly atmosphere. The 5 SNCM cruise ferries depart from the ferry ports of Marseille and Toulon to all destinations Corsica, Sardinia, Algeria and Tunisia and carry both passengers and freight. On board you will find restaurants, disco, a piano bar, shop, a games area, solarium, swimming pool and jacuzzi.
