Smyril line Overview
Smyril Line is Faroese shipping company, providing ferry crossings between the Faroe Islands, Denmark and Iceland.
Smyril Line was established in 1982 by Mr Oli Hammer together with Jógvan í Dávastou and Andrias Joensen with the aim of operating a passenger and vehicle ferry service on the North Atlantic linking Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Scotland/Shetland, Norway and Denmark.
Routes
Smyril Line runs a ferry service between Torshavn, the capital of the Faroe Islands, and Esbjerg and Hanstholm in Denmark.
