The Port of Algiers is the main seaport of Algeria in northern Africa. Built on the slopes of the Sahel Hills, Port of Algiers stretches for ten miles along the Bay of Algiers. The port offers a range of facilities, including food areas and Petrol stations which are situated nearby.
The port is one of the largest deep-water seaports in Algeria. The water channel of the port is 22.9m deep and the cargo pier is 7.6m long. Major towns near the port are Wahran, Tuggurt, Adrar, Algiers and Medda.

At the heart of the commercial port of Algiers, the ferry terminal is located on the pier El-Djazair not far from the railway station of Algiers. There are two separate entrances for each kind of passenger. The entrance for vehicle passengers is in front of the pier El Djefena. The entrance for foot passengers is located before pier El Djazair, opposite platform 11 (passenger terminal). However, all passengers will embark in the same area. The ship will dock along pier 9 or 11.
