Bueu is located on the northern edge of the Morazzo peninsular, in the province of Pontevedra, Spain. Bueu has a rich history with archaelogical finds dating back to the Paleolithic period.
Bueu is one of the major fishing ports in the muncipality of Galicia. The town has gained popularity in recent years with beautiful beaches, and a milder climate than the south of Spain.
There are numerous historic buildings to explore, including the Pazo de Santa Cruz de Quitapesares which was built in the 17th century. Pazo is a Galician word for 'palace', and you will find a few of these wonderful buildings in Bueu.
The food in Bueu is different to other parts of Spain; you won't find rice and pasta based dishes here. Seafood is a staple of the Galician diet, and is often accompanied by potatoes and fresh vegetables.

The port of Bueu is a large harbour with many private fishing boats docked. The harbour is very much at the heart of the town, so all amenities including restaurants, shops and cash machines are just a short walk away.

Bueu is on the West coast of Spain, just 22km from Pontevedra. From central Pontevedra, take the VG-4.4 road to reach Bueu.
