The Port of Durrës is Albania’s primary gateway for maritime traffic, acting as one of the country’s busiest and most important ports. Located on the Adriatic Sea, the port has been a key hub for over 2,000 years, with significant historical importance dating back to Roman times. Today, it serves as a modern ferry terminal connecting Albania to several destinations in Italy, including Bari, Ancona, and occasionally Trieste.
Ferries make regular trips to and from the Port of Durrës, providing an essential link for travellers heading to Italy and beyond. The port also plays a significant role in tourism, as it welcomes thousands of passengers each year, making it a busy point for commercial and leisure travel.

There are three gates (numbered 2, 3 and 4) leading to the Durres passenger terminal. Foot passengers should enter using gate 3 which is located in the Durres Railway Station building and then use the overpass to reach the terminal building. Vehicle passengers should enter using either gate 2 or 4. Gate 2 is located in front of the State Bank building and is often used by passengers travelling from the city neighbourhoods of Durres. Passengers who enter using this gate will be directed to the terminal by staff members. Gate 4 is located near Dajlan Bridge and is often used by passengers travelling from Kosovo or Macedonia.

Everything perfect
No communication was provided before the day of departure regarding practical boarding information (e.g., where to collect the boarding pass before arriving at the ship). A smile is clearly not the staff's strong suit. The customer is clearly not their priority.
Ventouris Ferriers Rigel V has a very nice interior.
