Coronavirus ferry travel advice
Leverburgh is the second largest village in the Outer Hebrides. It is located on the Isle of Harris and was originally known as "obbe" but later renamed as Leverburgh after Lord Leverhulme who bought the whole of South Harris. There is plenty to see in Leverburgh such as the St. Clements Church, the MacGilvery Centre and Temple park, Seallam, a Genealogy research centre and many more.
There are also diving opportunities at Rodel of the Stassa, a wreck of the steamship Stassa for those interested in some underwater experience. Apart from this, plenty of cruises are also available from Leverburgh along the coast of the Isle of Harris with countless white sandy beaches at your disposal.
Within the centre of Leverburgh, there is a mini market place where you can find, a grocery shop, a craft shop, a cafe and a post office.
