About Ostend

Ostend on the Belgian coast is well known for its long beaches and famous promenade. In the summer you might think you are in the southern Spain rather than northern Europe. Here you'll find great cycles paths, a plethora of cafes and bars and restaurants. The city dates from the middle ages when it was no more than a village. Sights worth visiting include Fort Napoleon and St Petrus and St Paulus Church.
