Sami is a busy working port, just 20km from Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia. The town is set in a wide bay with a long tree-lined coast and wonderful views of the neighbouring island of Ithaca.
On the waterfront there are plenty of bars and tavernas to choose from, all serving local seafood caught the same day.
Sami is surrounded by crystal clear waters, and from the cliffs you can often see dolphins. On land, there are caves to explore, which is unusual in Greece. Some of these are open to the public and tours are available.
Sami Port Facilities
There are two harbours at Sami, and while there are no port specific facilities the port is the hub of the town and all amenities are just a short walk away.
