Check-in for vehicle and foot passengers will be completed in different areas, however, the embarkation will be completed on the same terminal. 12 Quays terminal is for the use of all passengers and provides a terminal building for passengers to use facilities such as the cafe, toilets, baby change and a passenger lounge with Wi-Fi. For foot passengers, Birkenhead Hamilton Square railway station is a 15 minute walk from the terminal. There is also a regular National Express bus service operating to and from Liverpool to and from destinations all over Britain. National Express Coaches use the Liverpool One Bus Station.
