Fremantle is Western Australia's largest and busiest general cargo port, operating through two harbours. The Inner Harbour at Fremantle handles almost all of the container trade for Western Australia. It also provides facilities for livestock exports, motor vehicle imports, other general cargo trades, cruise ships, and visiting naval vessels.
The passenger terminal is on F and G Berths on Victoria Quay and a short walk from the centre of Fremantle. It has spacious halls for servicing large numbers of embarking and disembarking passengers.

This terminal serves as the main gateway to Rottnest Island for foot passengers and cyclists. Due to ongoing port construction, the Rottnest Express office has moved to the area near E Shed, and the luggage drop-off location has changed. Please follow the marked pedestrian pathways and allow extra time for parking and luggage delivery. Alternatively, the Northport Terminal (Rous Head) offers parking and self-service facilities The terminal is located adjacent to the Fremantle Train Station (5-minute walk).
