Naviera Armas has recently taken significant steps to enhance its environmental sustainability by implementing advanced technologies and operational changes. Among these measures is the installation of "scrubbers," an air purification system designed to reduce air pollution by removing harmful particles and gases emitted through chimneys and ducts. This has already been integrated into two of their ships, Villa de Tazacorte and Ciudad de Valencia.
In addition to tackling air pollution, Naviera Armas has prioritised energy efficiency across its operations. They have introduced energy-saving measures, including the widespread adoption of LED lighting. This transition has been implemented not only aboard their ships but also in their offices.
They are officially a plastic-free shipping company, having eliminated nearly all single-use plastic usage across their vessels. Additionally, they are paper-free, offering direct passengers online boarding passes and the option for paperless boarding.
