At Vetspils Port there are two separate areas for check-in depending on what type of passengers you are. Foot Passengers will enter using the main port entrance. Nearby buses are available to drop any passengers off seven minutes away from the port building. All foot passengers will enter the terminal building upon arrival, where check-in and ticket checks will be conducted. Foot passengers will utilise the building's walkways to enter the embarkment area where all passengers, including vehicles, will embark and board.

At Vetspils Port there are two separate areas for check-in depending on what type of passengers you are. Vehicle passengers will enter using the main entrance to the port, continuing straight ahead will be the terminal building, vehicles will continue past the building and turn right into the vehicle check-in lanes. There is one lane allocated to vehicle check-in and it is signposted 'To Ferry'. Once check-in is complete, vehicles will continue to the embarkment area of the port, where all passengers will embark and board within the same location.
