However, for journeys involving connections (for example via Jersey to Guernsey or Sark), as well as for other types of trips, a passport is required and an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) may be needed.
The ETA will become mandatory from 23 April 2026 and can be applied for from 9 April 2026.
