Foot passengers are welcomed at the terminal building, which provides a comfortable waiting area, ticketing counters, and amenities like restrooms and refreshments. Travellers are advised to arrive well ahead of departure for security checks and boarding procedures, allowing time to relax and enjoy the port facilities before setting sail.

Vehicle Access
Upon arrival at Poole port, there will be a signpost providing directions for foot passengers, coaches, vehicle passengers and freight passengers. Foot passenger and coach passengers will all check-in at the Passenger Terminal building. Vehicle passengers will continue to the vehicle check-in and embarkment area situated to the right of the entrance. At Poole Port, both vehicle and foot passengers are guided through an efficient check-in process to ensure a smooth departure. Vehicle passengers should follow signs to the designated and specific check-in lanes, where staff will assist with ticketing and boarding instructions. Poole is linked by the A31 to the M27, and from there to the M3 and London. Head south on the A350 from Bristol, and east on the A35 from Exeter. Once in town, head into the town centre and then follow signs for the port.
