The large car/truck/train ferry "Mecklenburg Vorpommern" travels from Rostock to Trelleborg in approximately 7 hours. Check-in, boarding, and disembarking are well-organized. Wi-Fi is available on board for a fee (49 SEK / approx. €4.50). Unfortunately, there are no shower facilities for passengers without a cabin booking. A good and varied breakfast buffet is offered in the large onboard restaurant for 155 SEK / approx. €14.10. Payment is by card only; cash is not accepted. In conclusion, the ferry is a recommended travel option for entering southern Sweden from Germany.
