The port overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and is considered one of the most important ports in each of the fields of trade and marine transportation. It houses a ferry terminal for passenger transport, several loading docks and a small marina for pleasure boats.

The Port of Oran is directly connected to the east-west dual carriageway, Algeria’s primary highway leading to the capital, Algiers. Additionally, the central railway station in Oran is only a short distance from the port, offering direct train services to the country’s key cities. All passengers will embark at Terminals 1 and 2 at the Oran Port, depending on the sailing and the operator. This will be confirmed upon arrival at check-in. Port staff are usually available to provide further directions or information if needed.
