Giglio Porto, which translates to "Giglio's harbour," is located on the island's east coast and is accessible by ferry from Porto Santo Stefano. Given that remnants of the ancient Roman port can still be found, its origins are ancient.

Today, Giglio Island's port is a tiny, colourful settlement that faces the ocean. It has two lighthouses and the ancient Saracen Tower, known as Torre del Saraceno. It's the centre of the island, particularly in the summer when all of the stores, pubs, and eateries are open late.
