The Elio is an Italian-flagged, double-ended ferry operating since 2018. Designed with a low-resistance hull and equipped with dual-fuel engines, it utilises liquefied natural gas (LNG) to minimize its environmental footprint. The vessel features two car decks and is engineered for efficient loading and unloading, making it a vital link across the Strait of Messina between Sicily and mainland Italy. Its design includes an anti-roll tank to enhance passenger comfort during the voyage.

Please note: We have taken great care to ensure that our Elio guide is as accurate as possible. However, onboard facilities, services, and entertainment may vary depending on the date and time of year you travel. Some facilities may change without notice, and ferry companies reserve the right to operate vessels other than those specified at the time of booking without prior notification.
