About Jersey
Like the other Channel Islands, Jersey is far closer to Normandy - France, than it is to England. The Channel Islands are officially British although in many respects they have their own sovereignty.
Jersey combines stunning scenery and a rich heritage with a wide range of tourist attractions. As a result, the island has been a popular tourist destination and has mainly visitors coming from France and Britain.
The beaches on Jersey cater for all types from St. Brelade's Bay with it's 'touristy' appeal to Anne Port, Beauport, and Petit Port offering a more secluded and quiet location. Jersey is sometimes the hottest place in the UK and offers much for the holidaymaker in it's rich mix of indigenous, British and French culture.VAT doesn't exist in Jersey, so the shopping in Jersey is duty free.

This was our first trip with Condor Ferries and we were delighted with everything. The small company attitude was obvious with everyone working together to make the journey for passengers as easy as possible. Unfortunately we did not understand the breakfast food offer and so that was a little slower than it should have been but apart from that we were really pleased and even enjoyed buying some duty free gin! So different from some of the larger ferry companies!

Very disappointing service, very bad customer care. Our luggage went to Guersney instead of Jersey. Wrong tickets were put on the luggage. We got them back not even a phone call to say they were coming to Hotel. First time travelling on this ferry won't be rushing back to travel again on the ferry.

The booking was easy, getting used to ferry travel, less delay than flying so that's good. A good trip out and return, my only complaint was finding your seat. Outward a person in my allocation and would not move, did not understand the number on the ticket, so a stand up trip for me, NOT good. On the return the same happened but the couple understood and moved so at least I had a seat. Perhaps staff should explain the numbering system on embarkation, might help the problem, I was not the only one seated straight away.

Both leaving and return journeys were bang on time. Booking in and on board staff were very friendly and helpful. Only one criticism the on board sale of magazines and puzzle books could do with being expanded.
