3 AprSpotlessly clean everywhere - staff very helpful

We were well looked after by very cheerful staff. Though the old ferry on our out bound route was looking a little tired it was spotlessly clean everywhere. The newer ferry on our return journey was also spotless and the staff very helpful.

16 MarFerry was cancelled one week beforehand
-
Received a phone call a week before my crossing to advise me that my 7.00am sailing had been cancelled. I asked when the next available ferry was, and was informed that it was 6.30pm that night. I wouldn't have got into Ostend until midnight, effectively wasting my first days holiday. I cancelled the booking and was told that I would recive a fully refund. I then booked another ferry from Dover to Dunkirk, saving £40.00. I got into Ostend at lunchtime, with no problems with the other ferry operator.

6 MarRamsgate to Ostend Feb12 for Bruges trip
-
A bizarre experience. About 30 passengers including lorry drivers in a boat that must carry more like 1,000. Went over on the older boat which seemed unchanged since the 1970s. It apparently breaks down often. Back of the old Pride of Calais. Only limited food and coffee etc available, but staff keen to please. Easy and cheap, and plenty of space. 4 hour and a bit journey which was fine. Half an hour to Bruges, which is lovely.

27 FebDont take this ferry!!!

There are very minimal facilities on this ferry!! All the cafes, shops and entertainment areas are closed down and ripped out! There is a restaurant upstairs that smelt so awful we couldnt sit in it and there was very limited food options. There is one bar open that serves the most awful cup of tea and some other drinks. No entertainment at all, just some out of date newspapers!! the ceiling was hanging down at one end of the boat and the whole journey was freezing cold, we sat with coats and hats on!
